The First Prints!
Black & White Studios is proud to announce the launch of the first prints! There are currently three new prints available in a variety of sizes, all printed on glorious 310GSM Ilford Photo Rag paper stock thanks to The Big Picture!
Here’s an introduction to each of the prints - I hope you enjoy them!
I recently took part in the annual #36daysoftype challenge, which involved creating a piece of typographic artwork for each letter of the alphabet and 0-9 numerals, completing one per day. This print includes each of the 36 glyphs I created during this challenge! You can view my challenge all in this video, or over on the Instagram page!
Aroha is a Maori word meaning affection, sympathy, charity, compassion, love, empathy. Maori is the native language of the indigenous people of New Zealand, the country where I live. The Maori language is beautiful, and a large part of the heritage of New Zealand.
Love Over Suffering Print
Liz Gilbert talks about the concept of love over suffering in her book, Big Magic. Often as artists, it’s easy to think that you have to suffer to create good work, but in actual fact, life as an artist is much easier and much more fruitful if you come from a place of love. Love Over Suffering is a great motto for artists, but also just for life and I love it!
I hope that you enjoy these prints! If you do, feel free to head on over to the store to purchase one for yourself!
