The Reading Rush

The Reading Rush is a yearly week-long international readathon! It's an opportunity to come together with other readers and make a normally solitary experience into a crazy social one!
After working with Ariel on the Platen branding, she came back to me to work on The Reading Rush together. The Reading Rush was originally known as BookTube-a-thon and although Ariel and Raeleen enjoyed the colours and book icon from their original logo, they wanted a bold, bright new brand to coincide with the relaunch of the event.
The Reading Rush imagery includes strong colours, looping illustrative elements, minimal, striking photography and quirky typography.
Both the interlinked lettering and looping graphic patterns serve as visual representations of the marathon concept while working alongside the colours, logo, photography and typography to emphasise this summery, community, book-focused event!
Ariel and Raeleen are currently raising money to fund a new website that will function as the new hub for the Reading Rush, for more fun and magic through their Indiegogo.
